Prize details from The Classic Competition Company
A very well-presented 1970 Triumph GT6 Mk2 Rotoflex, a rare Mk2 variant fitted with the 4-speed non-overdrive gearbox. It has been subject to a full body-off rebuild and now presents very nicely throughout.
The rebuild included new wings all round, new floors and a full repaint, with the chassis and underside also finished in body colour. The underside is very clean, as can be seen in the photos, and the car has clearly had a lot of detailed work carried out.
The suspension has been fully rebuilt, including new Rotoflex couplings, and the brake system has also been rebuilt with new copper brake pipes. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons, bearings and seals, while the gearbox was rebuilt with new bearings, seals and synchros. It also has a new clutch and a new stainless steel exhaust system, so it starts, drives well and sounds great.
Further work includes an alloy radiator, new tyres all round and refurbished wheels. The interior has also been refreshed with new carpets, door panels and rear quarter panels. The rear quarter bumpers, side vents and front overriders have been chromed, adding to the overall presentation.
It is not perfect, with a few wiper marks on the front windscreen, but it presents very well and benefits from a comprehensive rebuild with no rust. Tax and MOT exempt.
