MDRS Automotive swapped in the 3.6-litre TDV8 from a Range Rover Sport, transforming the way this seven-seat Disco drives and giving it the V8 soundtrack and effortless torque it always deserved. The transformation didn’t stop there. It’s been treated to a full Discovery 4.5 front-end conversion with working LED DRLs, upgraded 4 pot Brembos and a serious mechanical refresh. Nearly every suspension arm has been replaced alongside new airbags, shock absorbers, suspension pump, brakes and boost pipes. Inside, there’s Apple CarPlay, a reverse camera, gloss black trim and a genuine Land Rover replacement steering wheel, making Blue Pete just as suited to family duties as another cross-continent adventure. It’s big, practical, properly capable and has the history to back it up. This isn’t a Discovery built to sit around looking pretty.
