How to read this table

  • Value Ratio — total ticket revenue ÷ prize value. Closer to 1.0 is exceptional; above ~4.0 means a heavy operator margin.
  • Max odds — your chance if the competition sells out, shown as 1 in N (the total ticket allocation).
  • Current odds — your chance right now, based on tickets sold so far (assuming the winner is drawn from entries sold). Because most draws haven't sold out, this is usually far shorter than the max odds — the number that genuinely reflects your chance today.
  • Ticket price — what one entry costs. Cheap tickets aren't always good value, which is exactly why the Value Ratio exists.

Frequently asked questions

What does "best odds" actually mean for UK competitions?
Two things matter: your literal odds (1 ÷ the number of tickets, so fewer tickets means a better chance) and the value of the ticket (how much you pay versus what the prize is worth). We rank by our Value Ratio, which captures value, and show the odds for every listing so you can weigh both.
How is the Value Ratio calculated?
Value Ratio = (total tickets × ticket price) ÷ the prize’s cash value. A ratio near 1.0 means almost all the money taken is going back into the prize — excellent value. A high ratio means the operator is taking a large margin. Lower is better.
How often is this ranking updated?
The table refreshes hourly from live data across 100+ UK competition operators. Sold-out and ended competitions drop off automatically, so what you see is always currently enterable.
Is Competition Showroom independent?
Yes. Value Ratios and odds are calculated independently from public data and are never influenced by affiliate relationships. We may earn a commission when you click through to an operator, but that never changes the rankings.
Do better odds guarantee a win?
No. These are prize competitions and every entry carries risk — please play responsibly and only spend what you can afford. The tools here help you get better value and a clearer chance, not a certainty.
